Uploading documents

Admins can upload dependent verification documents on behalf of employees at any time during an audit. This is useful when employees send documents directly to HR, need assistance, or when you receive physical paperwork that must be added to their audit file.

The following steps walk you through the full process, based on the current user interface.

1. Navigate to the Audits Section

Start by opening the Audits tab from the left-hand menu. This displays all audits currently assigned to your organization.

2. Select the Active Audit

From the audit list, click the audit you need to work within (e.g., 2025 Dependent Audit).

This opens the main audit view, where you can see employee progress and submission status.

3. Search for the Employee

Use the search bar at the top of the Employees tab to quickly find the employee needing document uploads.

You can also filter by:

  • Completed

  • In Progress

  • No Response

  • Removed from Audit

4. Select the Employee

Click the employee’s name to open their audit detail screen.

This page displays:

  • Verification status

  • Dependents Verified

5. Open the Dependent’s Record

Within the employee profile, choose the dependent you want to upload documents for. Items marked with an exclamation icon indicate missing required documentation.

Click the dependent’s name to open their document requirements.

6. Upload the Required Documents

You will see each required item listed individually—for example:

  • Proof of Relationship

  • Proof Relationship Is Current

  • Proof of Joint Ownership

  • Proof of Cohabitation

  • Proof of Disability

Next to each requirement, click Upload to attach files.

Accepted file types typically include:

  • PDF

  • JPG / JPEG

  • PNG

Once uploaded, the file will appear under the corresponding requirement category.

How Uploaded Documents Are Treated

Documents uploaded by administrators:

  • Are tagged to show they were added by an admin

  • Follow the same validation rules, accepted document categories, and retention settings as employee uploads

  • Are included in audit reports and final verification outcomes

  • Will trigger dependent status changes once categories are satisfied
